34 new Memphis Police Officers hit the Bluff City streets

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Memphis has 34 new Memphis Police Officers fighting crime Thursday night.

MPD held a graduation ceremony Thursday for its 129th recruit class.

Director Rallings and the MPD command staff welcomed the newest officers on the force.

It’s all part of Mayor Strickland’s effort to increase the number of cops on the street.
