A Man Dead After Shooting At Memphis Hotel

The Memphis Police Department is investigating a homicide at a Memphis hotel.
Just before 9:00 Sunday night, officers responded to a shooting at the Fairfield Inn at 6010 Macon Cove near Sycamore View, where they found a man dead on the scene.
There were two other men in the room with the victim who were not injured.
The preliminary investigation revealed that before the shooting the victim had been on the phone with an unknown individual possibly making arrangements for a drug transaction.  After the phone call, two men showed up to the room and attempted to rob the victims.  The victim was shot when he did not comply.
The suspects are described as 2 male Blacks, 25 -30 years old. They were possibly driving a dark gray Nissan Rogue.  The shooter was wearing a gray hoodie, jeans, had a short fade, wave hairstyle and was armed with a handgun.
No arrests have been made. This is an ongoing investigation.
