MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A report from Memphis International Airport police provides a few more details into what happened to a FedEx worker killed at the Memphis hub.
According to the report, an officer was called to the scene, where a FedEx security officer said Duntate Young was unconscious and unresponsive. The security officer told police he performed CPR until the fire department paramedics made it to the scene. Young was then taken to Regional One, where he was listed as having died on arrival.
The report says another employee told the officer that Young’s leg was caught in the curtain door of a container, and he was dragged about 5 to 6 feet before his chest hit a roller and he was knocked unconscious.
The airport police officer said he then told FedEx that they were to contact Memphis Police to continue the investigation.
