Authorities search for missing woman, two children after car crashes into river in Tunica

TUNICA, Miss. (localmemphis.com)- Authorities are searching for a missing woman and two children after a vehicle crashed into the Mississippi River.

According to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 10 a.m. Sunday between the Fitz Casino and Tunica River Park.

Officials say witnesses described the vehicle as a gray Chevy Suburban and was occupied by 29-year-old Symphony Wilson along with two children ages 2 and 5.

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office is working with the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Diving Unit, Search & Rescue Unit and Air Support; Mississippi Fish & Wildlife; Mississippi Gaming Commission; and Pafford EMS. Additional search units are being notified to assist as well.
