OXFORD, Miss. (localmemphis.com) – An 18-year-old student pilot sounded panicked moments before her plane crashed on a golf course in Oxford, Mississippi.
That is according to the preliminary report released Wednesday by the National Transportation Safety Board.
Lake Little died July 6 when the plane she was piloting crashed. Investigators say she radioed that she was going to land on runway 9 with a tailwind but then pulled up on the nose sharply. Witnesses said it looked like it was close to stalling before it crashed.
The coroner was asked to arrange an autopsy and have toxicological samples taken.
