Bible Museum in Collierville to receive $15,000 from Shelby County Commission

Local News

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Shelby County Commissioners want to spend even more money helping a Bible Museum in Collierville than the Bible Museum requested, and that brought out protestors from an atheist group opposed to the funding.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation attended Monday’s commission meeting denouncing the proposal to give $10,000 to boost the museum, but just before 4 Monday afternoon, commissioners didn’t just give the project the green light, they threw in an extra $5,000.
