(ORIGINAL STORY 1/24/2019)
West Memphis Police have identified a suspect wanted for a shooting inside Walmart Thursday morning. Police say Jimmy Franklin Do should be considered armed and dangerous.
Police were called to the store on West Service Road about 5:30 a.m. after they say a man was shot in the leg. The victim was taken to Regional One and treated and released.
Police say the suspect, identified as Jimmy Franklin Do, and the victim were in the electronics section of the store when Do pulled out a gun and fired at least two rounds at the victim. Police say this was not random and Do and the victim had a prior conflict.
Police say neither man worked at Walmart or had an affiliation with the store, and there’s no reason to believe customers would be in further danger from this incident.
Investigators say Do ran out of the store and left in a dark-colored vehicle. He is now wanted on warrants for first degree battery and aggravated assault.
Do is believed to be from Lake Cormorant, Mississippi. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call West Memphis Police.
