MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) — The former first daughter of the United States made a stop in the Mid-South Tuesday to promote her new children’s book.

Chelsea Clinton showcased her book, “Don’t Let Them Disappear” at the Memphis Zoo. The book is about 12 endangered species across the globe. It takes readers through the course of a day for rhinos, tigers, whales, pandas, and other endangered animals.

Clinton explained why she wrote this book.

“So, I love writing children’s books, and I really decided to write for this, and of an age when I became a parent, and when I started to really just pay more attention to what children’s books we had with what children’s books I thought we didn’t have,” Clinton said.

“Don’t Let Them Disappear” is currently on sale. Clinton also wrote the number one New York times bestselling picture book “She Persisted: 13 American Women Who Changed the World.”
