NASHVILLE, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Country star Darius Rucker has raised more than $2 million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The money was raised during Rucker’s Nashville benefit concert, “Darius and Friends.” This year was the 10th anniversary of the show.
Rucker said it was an honor to help St. Jude continue their mission of helping kids get better. Without financial burdens on their families.
The superstar was the lead singer for the rock band Hootie and the Blowfish before changing genres to country music.
