Dozens of FedEx employees got out of the office Thursday and spent the day at Shelby Farms.
The volunteers pulled weeds, mulched, and installed bat houses in the park. It’s part of a grant program sponsored by FedEx and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
The goal is to protect and restore the park for everyone to enjoy.
“Our team members just want to get involved in places where we live and work. And Shelby Farms is just a beautiful gym,” said FedEx Communication Advisor Rachel Kesslmen.
90 FedEx employees took part in the event. This is the 9th year FedEx has partnered with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to restore places in Memphis.
