Former Memphis Tiger Arrested After Domestic Assault Incident

MEMPHIS, Tenn (localmemphis.com) - Former University of Memphis basketball player, Robert Dozier, is behind bars after assaulting the mother of his children.

Memphis police officers were called to a home on Joanne St. on Thursday, February, 7 around 8 p.m.  

According to a police affidavit, Dozier and the victim got into an argument that turned physical about an incident that happened the day before.  The victim told investigators that Dozier pulled her hair, pushed her down on the bed then grabbed her around the throat and hit her several times in the face and body.

The victim drover herself to the hospital and was treated for a dislocated shoulder and finger.

On Friday, February 8, MPD issued a warrant for Dozier's arrest.

Dozier was arrested on Tuesday, February 12 and charged with domestic assault.
