Former Memphis Tiger Basketball Player Jeremy Hunt Sentenced For DUI

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - Former Memphis Tigers basketball player Jeremy Hunt has been sentenced to almost a year after being found guilty of driving under the influence in November.

Hunt was sentenced to 11 months 29 days, with credit for time served, and 10 months 14 days were suspended. He’ll serve those ten months on probation after 43 days in jail.

Officers found Hunt walking along I-40 after he rear-ended a pick-up truck, and drove off into nearby woods.

This isn't his first DUI conviction. In July 2012, Hunt pleaded guilty to reckless aggravated assault and DUI after his car hit a broken-down car and a man helping the driver.

Hunt was given two-years probation after that incident, and was ordered to pay more than $1 million to the victim after a civil lawsuit.

Hunt reports to jail next Friday, and will also pay a $600 fine for this latest incident.
