Girl Scout Cookies To Be Delivered And Sold Across The Mid-South

Local News

Saturday was day two for Girl Scouts Heart of the South volunteers loading nearly 500,000 cookies into cars to be delivered and sold over the next few weeks.

Once the cars are loaded troop leaders and volunteers divvy up the cookies, so each girl can make deliveries. That means if you ordered cookies, you should get your treats within the next week.

Girl Scouts leaders said this yearly undertaking is about more than just cookies.

“Our girls work hard so that they can make their dreams come true by selling cookies so that they can travel and see different parts of the world, and doing a lot of community service,” said Melanie Schild, CEO of Girl Scouts Heart of the South

If you have not ordered cookies yet, starting February 23rd through March 18TH on weekends Girl Scouts will have booths set up at local retailers across the Mid-South including Kroger, Walmart, Home Depot and Lowe’s.
