Hundreds gather for vigil for slain Ole Miss student Ally Kostial

Local News

Thursday night, hundreds of people packed a St. Louis high school to remember murdered Ole Miss student Ally Kostial during a vigil.

Kostial was found shot to death near Sardis Lake in Mississippi.  Classmate Brandon Theesfeld from Fort Worth, Texas, is charged with her murder.

Newly released video from ABC News, shows Daniel Theesfeld, coming out of the Lafayette County Detention Center presumably visiting his son, Brandon, who is charged with the murder of classmate Ally Kostial. We are told the two also dated.

A student who lived in the same dorm as Theesfeld says he was often egotistical and misogynistic.

“With the way that he treated women, and his attitude towards women in general, it didn’t surprise me,” said Rex Ravita, Brandon Theesfeld neighbor.

A local bartender had a different perception of him.

“My reaction was I don’t think he did it, just because I knew him, who he was. He’s always been a gentleman, and been sweet, and been kind, and just overall a goofy dude,” said Oxford Bartender, Erin Beadle.

Theesfeld is being represented by well-known Memphis attorneys and cousins, Steve and Tony Farese.

Meanwhile, family and friends of Kostial are still grieving. They are preparing to say their final goodbyes at her funeral which is set for Saturday in St. Louis.
