Le Bonheur Patients Get New Books To Celebrate Children’s Book Week

It’s Children’s Book Week and to celebrate, the organizations “Reading Is Fundamental” and Homewood Suites teamed up to donate books to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

Lewis the Duck books were given to patients in the Family Resource Center. The event was aimed to promote children’s literacy and offer free educational resources and activities to the kiddies.

Children’s Book Week runs through Monday, April 30th.

Local 24 anchor Katina Rankin’s non-profit Katina’s Klassroom has teamed up with Stash Homes in Memphis this week to help underserved children here for Children’s Book Week.

When you make a donation to the non-profit in the store, you get 10% off your entire purchase. All proceeds go towards helping children improve their literacy skills.
