MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- A local business owner is facing charges after promoters say he wrote bad checks and refused to return calls.
New Daisy Theatre owner Steven Aldeman was arrested and charged with theft of property worth $10,000 to $60,000.
Promoters told police that in February they booked a concert at the theater through Adelman.
Adelman wrote a check from ticket sales to promoters worth $19,000, but the check bounced.
Promoters say when they tried to reach Adelman, but he didn’t return their calls.
When they decided to do business elsewhere, Alderman threatened to sue.
Adelman is out of jail, but is expected to see a judge Monday at 9:00 a.m.
