Local Chefs Get Chopped For Charity

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - You've been chopped! In the spirit of the reality TV cooking competition, Kelly English and other local chefs faced off in the kitchen Friday.

The chefs made creations from a basket of secret ingredients, and the best dish wins. The competition took place at the FedEx Family House Kitchens.

The purpose to raise awareness about Saturday’s Le Bon Appetit, a gourmet charity event benefiting Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.

“It's really fun. You know we get to see adults faces light up about the food we make,” said English. “It's really fun to watch kids just have something put in front for them that they love. What we make as chefs, we always try to chase childhood memories.”

You can sample his dishes and creations made by 45 other nationally & locally renowned chefs Saturday night at Crosstown Concourse.
