MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- Saturday, CVS partnered with Christian Methodist Episcopal Church to launch a Caregiver and Health Awareness Partnership.
The first faith and corporate partnership of its kind brought together congregations, community organizations, and health professionals.
The group spent the day providing health education workshops, screenings, and vaccinations.
“This is so important for CVS health because our purpose is to help people on the path to better health and we have a shared purpose and values with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church,” said Olivia Lane, Director of Workforce Initiatives CVS Health.
“We both want to address the healthcare disparities in our communities and together we look forward to doing that.”
The event was part of a wider network of seminars, health fairs, and workshops throughout Western Tennessee.
