Local students had a shot at being awarded college scholarships Monday during the longest running fashion show in Memphis history.
The Josephine Circle, Inc. is known for providing interest free loans to students for their college education. This is one of the main events used to raise the money.
Organizers say education is key and it drives the years of support.
“There are a lot of students out there that could not get their education without a little help,” said treasurer Martha Mcintosh.
This year’s event is expected to raise over $10,000. Up to 20 interest-free loans of $2,000 each are awarded each semester by the organization.
