Immigrant advocates in Memphis are organizing to see how they can better support families seeking asylum.
The group, Indivisible Memphis, hopes a more organized effort will keep more families together.
Organizers held a meeting Monday night at Shady Grove Presbyterian church.
They say the separation of immigrant families is happening across the country.
The organization is looking for volunteers who are willing to work directly with people seeking asylum, who need shelter, or legal support.
They are raising money to pay for legal costs.
