Mid-South students had a chance Thursday to explore and dream big during Naval Air Orientation Day.
They were able to get an up-close look at our military’s jets and helicopters on display at Wilson Air Center. Crewmen were also on-hand to answer questions about their aircraft and life in the military.
“This is important because it helps connect the community with the military to show them what we’re doing and support America, and also to give them awareness, create awareness, of possible opportunities in the military,” says Navy Chief E7 Aspen Nowles.
Vintage air planes were also on display, all in the hopes of helping young people learn more about the military and possibly consider a career in the Armed Forces.
