Man Charged In Shooting Death of 12-Year-Old In His Bedroom

(UPDATE 10/2/2017) – A police affidavit says Williams was visiting his girlfriend, the victim’s sister, at the time of the shooting. According to the affidavit, Williams told the girlfriend to make him something to eat, and when she said no, he pulled out the gun and they got into a fight. 

According to the report, Williams then told the girlfriend he heard a noise in the kitchen, and to go check it out. When she came back, she told police she saw Williams standing over 12-year-old Devin Johnson, and then saw the gun fire. She told police Williams ran out of the house while she tried to help her brother.

Police say Williams denied any involvement upon questioning.

A man has been charged in the shooting death of a 12-year-old in his bedroom this weekend. 

Caterrious Williams has been charged with first degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated assault according to police.

It happened on the 1200 block of Dana Drive.

According to police, Williams was able to get into the home of the victim and shoot him in his bedroom.

Police say Williams then ran from the scene wearing a white tank & blue jeans.
