Man shot on I-40 bridge, Arkansas State Police investigating

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police are investigating a shooting on I-40 near the bridge. 

Local 24 News has learned a man was shot and found near the corner of B.B. King and Adams in critical condition.  Bill Sadler with Arkansas State Police says the victim was taken to Regional One by the suspect.  We’re told the suspect then ran away and was last seen near Danny Thomas and Adams, according to police. 

The trend of violence is a concerning one.  Memphis Police reported today that there have been 22 interstate shootings in 2019 before this latest incident.  The shooting is being investigated as a domestic violence aggravated assault. 

Arkansas State Police is assisting with the investigation.
