MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Two companies are pooling their resources to make sure a man in need of a new wheelchair can back it up safely.
It’s all because of our exclusive interview last week that went viral.
Quantum Rehab and Team Adaptive have been working since we first showed you the video of Terry Davis, who was caught up in a barrage of fireworks. His cousins in the background of the 2017 video urged him to, “Back it up, Terry. Put it in reverse.”
In our interview, Terry explained that his controls jammed which made it impossible for him to get away from the explosives.
A representative from wheelchair company Team Adaptive saw our report and this week came into town to measure Terry for a new chair. Quantum Rehab is helping terry become more mobile by getting him a van with locks for the new wheelchair.
In the next 2 weeks, Terry should be all set.
