Mid-South Veterans along with veterans across the country were honored for their service, Saturday.
Memorial Park Funeral Home held its annual Veterans Memorial Service.
In their honor, was singing of the national anthem, pledge of allegiance, a laying of the wreath, and the playing of taps. There are more than 180 veterans buried at the cemetery.
“It’s very important. The veterans of our country that give so much time to sacrifice their families sacrifice so much to our country and this is just a way that we can give back and honor and show support for them.” Says George Griffin of Memorial Park Funeral Home
A special tribute was also given to veterans buried at the cemetery over the past year.
