Memphis Child Advocacy Center holds Honors Day breakfast for those who help child abuse victims

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – It was a special honor Thursday for the people who help children recover from unspeakable abuse.

The Memphis Child Advocacy Center held its Honors Day breakfast at the University of Memphis.

People who took part include law enforcement, social service professionals, community volunteers, and elected officials.

Speakers included a survivor of childhood abuse who commended attendees for making a difference in the lives of hundreds of children, who now have a chance at a healthy, safe, and abuse-free future.
