MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Memphis Fire officials say a firefighter is recovering after being injured while fighting a fire at a local complex.
The fire happened about 12:00 a.m. Wednesday in the 2600 block of Tricia Drive. Firefighters say they could see flames from the two-story townhomes when they arrived.
It took about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for a cut to his arm. No one else was injured.
Two townhome units were damaged. The total damages are estimated at about $110,000.
Investigators say the fire was caused by food left unattended on a stove.
