MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – U.S. lawmakers are turning up the heat in the ongoing battle between Nexstar, which owns the Local 24 and CW30 TV stations, and AT&T, which owns DirecTV and U-verse.
Senators from eight states have all issued letters urging DirecTV and AT&T U-verse to immediately restore Nexstar-owned television stations.
It’s now been one week since the stations were removed from AT&T’s line-up as the two companies fight over retransmission fee.
That means viewers of both Local 24 and CW30 are missing out on their favorite shows.
Affected customers could switch to Dish network or a cable provider such as Comcast Xfinity.
Viewers can also call an 800-number urging DirecTV and AT&T U-verse to put Local 24 and CW30 back on. It’s 1-800-531-5000.
