UPDATE 4/17/18:  Memphis Police say the man who was the getaway driver in the Poplar Avenue Huey’s robbery has admitted to his involvement.

According to an affidavit, two suspects entered the business through a back door and went straight to the managers office and held the on-duty manager at gunpoint and took money from the safe.

The third suspect, 24-year-old Dominique Galloway, was waiting outside in a greenish-blue Mercury Grand Marquis.  Galloway was developed as a suspect after investigators talked to the registered owner of the vehicle.

Galloway was interviewed and admitted to this crime, after being arrested in a Domestic Violence case.

The other two suspects have not been identified.

Memphis Police are investigating after a robbery Monday morning at the Huey’s restaurant in east Memphis.

About 9:00 a.m., police say two armed suspects wearing all black robbed the restaurant in the 4800 block of Poplar Ave. They got away in a black Mercury Grand Marquis driven by a third suspect. No one was hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
