Co-Worker Charged After Shooting & Killing Man In Warehouse Parking Lot

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - UPDATE 10/26/17:  On Wednesday, October 25, officers responded to a shooting at 3791 Knight Road, where they found a 23-year-old man who had been shot and died at the scene.

 

Homicide investigators were first told that the victim drove onto the parking lot and was shot by an unknown person as the victim got out of his vehicle.  After further investigation, detectives found that the victim, Marcus Nelson and the suspect, 27-year-old Tarance Coleman Jr., arrived at the location for work, both in Coleman's truck.

 

According to Coleman, Nelson got out of the truck and "mean mugged him"...that's when Coleman pulled a handgun from underneath his seat and fired multiple shots at Nelson.

Police say Tarance Coleman Jr. admitted to shooting and killing Nelson, and has been charged with First Degree Murder.

Memphis Police are investigating after they say a man was shot to death in southeast Memphis.

 

It happened Wednesday morning in the 3700 block of Knight Rd. Police say a man was shot and died at the scene.

 

They have not said what led to the shooting or released any information on suspects.
