MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – The numbers are in for how much money the city of Memphis shelled out to welcome ESPN’s College GameDay earlier this month.
The city says that it cost more than $24,000 to pay 111 officers for overtime. Those officers were on patrol and security for ESPN’s crews and live shows.
Thousands of fans packed Beale Street for the GameDay show on November 2nd.
The officers were also on hand at Liberty Bowl stadium during the Tigers’ winning game against SMU.
