MS Daycare Owner & Husband Charged; Husband Accused Of Molesting Children

A Mississippi daycare owner and her husband are behind bars in Lafayette County, facing charges after the husband was accused of molesting children.

John Westmoreland of Harmontown is charged with six counts of molesting-touching of a child for lustful purpose. Sherry Westmoreland is charged with six counts of failing to report sex crimes against a minor and six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the Oxford Eagle, Sherry Westmoreland operated a daycare out of the couple’s home. John Westmoreland was first arrested on one count July 3rd, then five more victims came forward. The victims are reported to be females ranging in age from 10 to 12-years-old.

Sherry Westmoreland is in the Lafayette County jail with a $500,000 bond. John Westmoreland was booked into jail with a $750,000 bond.
