MUNFORD, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - A Munford, Tennessee, man has pleaded no contest to charges of rape of a child and sexual exploitation of a minor. David Henson was immediately sentenced to a total of 31 years in prison.
District Attorney General Mark Davidson says Henson was midway through a jury trial in Tipton County when he changed his plea from not guilty to no contest. He was accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl over a period of two years starting in 2015.
Henson was sentenced to 25 years at 100% for the rape of a child count, and three years at 30% each for two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The sentences were ordered to run concurrently, so he will serve 25 years at 100%.
Henson was also sentenced to community supervision for life on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry as a Child Rapist upon his release.
