Memphis’ Neighborhood Christian Center is celebrating “Compassionate Christmas” all month long.
Saturday, hundreds of volunteers gathered in Whitehaven to help NCC pack 10,000 boxes of food for “neighbors in need.”
The boxes will feed local families who are struggling to make ends meet this holiday season.
“Many of the people that we serve have children that are living in food insecure communities, so we’re here today to help with the supplemental food support during the holiday season,” said Ephie Johnson with Neighborhood Christian Centers.
More than a dozen corporate sponsors and partners donated items to fill the boxes.
NCC will continue its Compassionate Christmas every weekend in December. CLICK HERE to learn more.
