One Person Arrested After Two People Were Shot In Oxford Parking Lot

Oxford Police say one person has been arrested after two men were shot in a parking lot.

It happened about 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot in the 1300 block of North Lamar Blvd. Police found two men, ages 38 and 25, shot. Both were flown to Regional One in Memphis, where the 38-year-old is in critical and the 25-year-old is in non-critical condition.

Police say Ricky Mabry, 30, was identified as the shooter. He turned himself in to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Department about 10:15 p.m. He was then taken to the Lafayette County Jail.

Charges are expected to be filed at a later time.
