MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – The Southern Heritage Classic is one of two marque events happening in Memphis Saturday. The Cooper-Young Festival is the other, and it is expected to bring well over 100,000 people to the heart of midtown.
Tonight runners took part in the Cooper-Young Festival Friday 4-Miler. More than 2,300 people ran or walked from one end of the midtown community and back again.
Saturday’s arts, shopping, and entertainment extravaganza runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at and around the intersection of Cooper Street and Young Avenue.
