Overton Bark wins grant & scholarship money to help with improvements

Local News

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Overton Bark has been named one of the top dog parks in the state of Tennessee. And with that comes a $25,000 grant for some much-needed improvements.

The award, combined with a $25,000 sponsorship, from Hollywood Feed will mostly pay for maintenance needs.

“This dog park is about 10-years-old at Overton Park and they’ve had some drainage issues that made it a little messy for some of the dogs and their appearance,” said Randy Boyd who created “Dog Park Dash.” “So this money will help fix some of the drainage issues.”

The dog park is located in Overton Park on Old Forest Lane, which begins at Memphis College Of Art’s Rust Hall.
