Person Of Interest Wanted For Questioning In Deadly Shooting At Midtown Memphis Car Wash

UPDATE 10/19/2017: Memphis Police have identified a man wanted for questioning in the murder of Deandre Johnson at a midtown Memphis car wash Sunday, October 8th. Police say Aaron Heard is the owner of the white 2001 GMC Yukon seen in surveillance pictures from the scene.

Police say Heard currently has five active warrants for seven various misdemeanor charges.

UPDATE 10/11/17: Memphis Police say Homicide investigators are closing in on the suspect responsible for the murder of Deandre Johnson that happened at a midtown car wash on Sunday, October 8.

Police say they believe the suspect was in this SUV, and targeted Deandre Johnson, shooting him several times.  The suspect was last seen southbound on Avalon from the rear of the carwash.

The vehicle is a white Yukon GMC or Chevrolet Suburban, possibly a 2006 model.

Memphis police are investigating after a man was found shot at a midtown car wash. He later died.

Police were called to The Car Wash in the 1500 block of Poplar Avenue about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. They found 28-year-old Deandre Johnson shot. He was taken to Regional One, where he later died.

Police say no one has been arrested, but they believe Johnson may have known his attacker.
