Report Finds Inaccurate Information In Memphis Mayor’s State Of The City Address

Local News

Memphis’ math doesn’t add up when it comes to doing business with minority and women-owned businesses.

Mayor Jim Strickland has been boasting that the percentage of spending with minority businesses had doubled to 24% during last fiscal year.

The city now admits it used faulty data, which didn’t include more than $150-million in contracts that went elsewhere.
