It was a major milestone Wednesday for those dedicated to keeping suspected criminals off drugs. The Shelby County Drug Court held its 250th graduation.
It’s the largest treatment program in the state of Tennessee. It lets people who suffer from addiction get help instead of going to jail.
To date, 72% of the graduates have not returned to a life of crime.
More than 26,000 participants have made it to graduation since its 1997 inception.
