Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Offers Helpful Tips For The Eclipse

Local News

With the solar eclipse fast approaching, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind you to stay safe!

The peak of the eclipse will be 1:22 p.m.

Be aware people may be distracted while driving as the eclipse reduces sunlight.

Do not pull over on the side of the road to view the eclipse.

And another reminder, do not look directly at the eclipse.

Special glasses are available.
