MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- Shelby Farms Park representatives are teaching locals how to keep the park clean with a day full of activities.
Representatives with the park hosted the Down to Earth Festival on Saturday.
The festival is known as the biggest Earth Day celebration in the Mid-South.
New to the Mid-South, Audrey Miller says she brought her family to the event. “We’ve really enjoyed it. This is our first year. We actually just moved to the Memphis area a few weeks ago, so it’s fun to come out and do stuff with the kids and learn more about taking care of the earth.”
Several bands performed at the Hyde Park Lake stage throughout the event.
All of the money raised went right back into supporting Shelby Farms Park.
