MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- Hundreds of people packed Orange Mound for the annual Southern Heritage Classic parade.
The parade is presented by the Orange Mound Community parade committee. More than a dozen floats and high school marching bands went down Park Avenue from Haynes to Airways Saturday morning.
The parade kicks off a day full of tailgating and of course the game.
“It makes me feel real good, we have a beautiful day. We have another opportunity to get together, celebrate, have good clean safe fun,” said Claudette Boyd, organizer of the Southern Heritage Classic Parade.
This is the 19th year for the parade.
