MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A 50-day cross-country train trip made a stop in Memphis. “Summer by Rail” is advocating for better trains and transportation in America.
Memphis was the backdrop for food and culinary scenes Monday, where trains can help connect riders.
Transit supporter Madison Butler says she’s getting a taste of Memphis’ most popular restaurants.
“I want to give a lot of first-person narrative and first-person perspective if there is a delay, what the delay is like. Or how affordable a restaurant may be if it’s a popular tourist destination. If menu items or dietarily inclusive and the cool places you can visit along the way,” said Butler.
Butler also plans to visit some historic sites while in town.
