Surveillance video released of deadly shooting of man accused of shoplifting chainsaw

MEMPHIS, Tenn. ( – Local 24 News has obtained surveillance video of the deadly shooting of a man who police say was shoplifting a chainsaw at the time.

The attorney for the family of Lamorris Robinson, who police say was shot and killed by Charles Kalb Oct. 16th as Robinson reportedly stole a chainsaw from Mid-South Small Engines, released the surveillance video that shows the shooting and aftermath.  

We want to warn you of the graphic nature of the video. The shooting happens about 1:10 into the video.

Kalb was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and was subsequently released on $1 million bail.   

Attorneys for the family say Robinson had recently been released from prison. According to Latrice Greer, the mother of two of Robinson’s children, Robinson moved in with her and his kids after his release.
