MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – From the Ellen DeGeneres Show to a pat on the back by mega star Will Smith, the Memphis MLK Prep students who helped a classmate in need are still being hailed for their act of kindness.

Tuesday the Memphis City Council honored the boys for remaining resilient in the face of bullying.

Kristopher Graham and Antwain Garrett not only stopped their bullying of Michael Todd for wearing the same clothes to school everyday, they gifted him new clothes. The video of the students reconciling went viral, and they say they’ve forged a new friendship.

“What just happened almost made me cry. So much is happening for and these two guys here that helped me out, it almost makes me cry,” said Todd.

Todd says because of what Graham and Garrett did for him, his days of being bullied are over, and he can really enjoy his high school experience.
