A Tennessee man has been hospitalized for nearly a month with the swine flu.
In Mid-February, James Bradley of Nashville was diagnosed with pneumonia, and his condition quickly took a turn for the worse.
First, he struggled to breath, and then his kidneys began to fail. He then was put on a ventilator that was removed last week.
Bradley still is recovering while offering some vital words of advice.
“You’re not indestructible, you’re not Hulk, you’re not Superman. Get the flu shot,” Bradley urged.
President Barack Obama declared an emergency in 2009 to protect the nation from the swine flu which had killed more than 1,000 people and spread to 46 states at the time.
All health departments in Tennessee plan to offer free flu shots until the end of the flu season, which is near the end of April.
