JACKSON, Miss. (localmemphis.com) — The Mississippi State Department of Health is warning people of the risk of exposure to the measles.

Health officials say the man who has been identified earlier this week as having the first measles case in Tennessee, traveled to the Magnolia State while he was still contagious.

They warn anyone who was in the area of Hattiesburg April 9-10 to get checked. Specifically, if you were at the Subway inside the Circle K or Raising Cane’s.

Symptoms of the measles include fever, runny nose, cough, and a rash in some cases. If you think you’ve been exposed, see a doctor immediately.
