MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - The smell of hot and spicy food filled the air at Tiger Lane with the 16th Annual Southern Hot Wing Festival.
The event welcomed around 70 teams to compete with their special hot wing sauces and flavors.
The family friendly event offered live music, entertainment and as much chicken as attendees wanted.
The food festival benefits Ronald McDonald House.
“We do it to have fun. It’s a great cause, in terms of the Ronald McDonald House and the charity, so we want to have a good time, and at the same time, do something good for the community," said Quincy McGlown of the Purple People Eaters.
The Southern Hot Wing Festival started in 2003.
