As the Vols season progressed it became clear it wasn’t a matter of time if Jones would be fired. Simply a matter of when, after Saturday night’s 33-point loss to Missouri served as the final blow.
Jones met with his team Sunday morning, Athletic Director John Currie says that the team just isn’t where it needs to be competitively.
The Vols have lost all six of their conference games this season with two games left. Defensive Line Coach Brady Hoke will serve as Interim Head Coach for the time being.
